kelly M

In late 2000, while working as a paramedic in Georgia. Cathy, Kelly’s wife asked if he could build rustic furniture for his stepdaughter’s wedding. Over the next few months, he built several pieces, from simple log tables to log benches. Although he had no formal woodworking training he jumped into furniture-building.Encouraged by friends and family, he began selling his rustic furniture at craft fairs. While working under the name Littlebranch Farm, he designed a line of natural wood furniture such as dining tables, beds, and vanities, all made from live edge wood, along with other discarded natural materials found in nature. While Kelly Maxwell is not against controlled selective harvesting, he does believe in being responsible when it comes to the environment by choosing to use natural materials discarded in nature along with salvaged and

dead standing trees. After many years of honing his skills as a furniture maker, he still learns something new each day as he looks for the perfect rustic artisan furnituredesign!Inspired by nature, Kelly Maxwell designs and builds a unique style of rustic furniture that elicits awe and wonder. “I work with wood found in nature,” says Kelly, “as it reveals an organic beauty that transcends woodworking into an art form.” “Many times, it’s like polishing a hidden gem.” As a self-made furniture maker, Kelly stays true to his humble roots as he expands his craft.
