We have added "picture in picture" and a camera above the lathe to improve the woodturning learning experience.
I love this bowl! It has a beautiful round bottom that gives it a balanced but possibly role-polly stance. It is very light and the texture makes it just feel good to hold while your eye is moved around the bowl following it's contrasting milk painted beads.
This class is aimed at all levels of woodturners. You will not only improve your basic bowl turning, you will learn more about texturing, adding beading "which resembles a rope" and how to add contrast utilizing various advanced strategies with milk paint.
Pete Wiens is one of the few instructors who turns and teaches seamlessly. His descriptions of what he is doing and why he is doing it are some of the best I have encountered in woodworking education. He also addresses why mistakes are made and what to do to correct them. You will learn more from Pete in a few minutes then you would from most in a whole day! His work has been featured in the American Association of Woodturner's (AAW) magazine and he teaches regularly at Tennessee Association of Woodturner's (TAW) events.
